Dr. Nathan McGuire

Dr. Nathan McGuire was born and raised in Chaffee, MO. He graduated first in his class from Southern Illinois University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. He completed his Masters of Science and Orthodontic Residency at the University of Louisville. Dr. McGuire’s unique childhood experience with braces is what motivated him to become an orthodontist. As a child, he had an underbite and experienced severe crowding that caused him to need extensive orthodontic treatment. He had it all: palatal expander, full braces, and headgear. Dr. McGuire was able to experience first-hand the difference of a nice smile. It made such an impact on him that he decided to be an orthodontist when he grew up. 

As a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Dr. McGuire likes to focus on early treatment in children. Not only does he feel that many patients will achieve their best outcome, particularly patients with crowding or bite issues, but he also believes starting to correct malformations before children become self-conscious about them can help develop a positive self-concept. He is certified to provide traditional braces and Invisalign® treatments not only to children but teens and adults as well. Dr. McGuire has earned Gold Plus Tier status for his treatment in Invisalign® treatment. He loves serving the Cape Girardeau, Jackson, and Dexter communities!

Dr. McGuire enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and coaching his children’s sports teams. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Melissa and they have four beautiful children.
